Metal Gear Solid V: 7 Big Questions We Can't Wait To See Answered

1. Will Revolver Ocelot Screw Everyone Over (Again)?

The moustache-twirling "muahaha"-style über-villain himself is back in Phantom Pain, but this time round Kojima is penning him as being one of Snake's closest friends. We see journeying out on missions together, Ocelot minds his own business (probably) at Mother Base, and all-round we get a sensation that this isn't anywhere close to the villainous version seen in MGS 1 and 2. So what happens to Ocelot, for him to decide the life of villainy is the way to go? He was playing both sides in MGS 3, and following Snake's torture apparently develops a taste for it, becoming something of a signature trait later in life - although that sadistic nature isn't something we've seen in the trailers just yet. We know he's the son of The Boss and The Sorrow, although Snake doesn't know/hasn't addressed this yet, despite a conversation with Eva where he's told Ocelot was born on the battlefield, where after his mother was shot in the gut, the wound was stitched into a "snake-shaped scar". That could only be The Boss, but in Snake Eater it felt like this was more a line to get fans thinking, and considering everything that goes down in that game, perhaps Snake has simply forgotten? Either way, perhaps everything is linked? Snake finds out Ocelot is essentially a brother-figure, having been Boss' son and he her apprentice, yet Ocelot takes up a life of double/triple-crosses, betraying Snake's only remaining family tie as he chooses governmental agendas over Mother Base. This leaves Big Boss alone to sire his private army and strike back against the forces he now sees as the ultimate corrupting element in his life, a pretty good motivation, perhaps? That's probably a reach, but Kojima's done far crazier in his time, and with this being his swan-song, any and everything's on the table. Let us know in the comments what you think's going to happen, what you personally can't wait to see and if you think David Hayter will return as Snake!
