Instead, you need to wait for this ten-eyed monstrosity to open his mouth before shooting him in the throat, knocking him back. After you shove a few well-timed missiles at his ugly gob, Crocky will fall into a batch of lava, whittling him down to a skeleton.

After letting out his death cry (taken directly from Titanosaur from the Godzilla series), Crocomire is no more.

However, his skeleton does jump out at Samus before crumbling to dust. Although this "attack" is ineffective, it is the best jump-scare in the entire game.
