Mirror's Edge: Catalyst - 10 Huge New Details You Need To Know About
5. "No Guns"
Yep, that's right - Catalyst's Faith is going without guns for the foreseeable future. Despite the fact that pretty much all of her enemies will be packing heat, Faith (who is more than willing to take a life if she sees fit) won't be pulling the trigger on anyone. It makes sense gameplay-wise, but not so much thematically from what we've seen. Maybe Faith's parents are gunned down this time and she develops a unique aversion to firearms? It would take the Bat-theme to someone else entirely, but Catalyst's combat will surely be more than capable without the FPS element bolted on - a mistake its predecessor made all too willingly. It'll be interesting to see whether or not disarms still factor into combat, but one doesn't have to look far to see that its overhaul has been given plenty of thought.
