Mortal Kombat 11: 10 Guest Characters We NEED To See
1. Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel is the superhero on everyone's lips these days, and what better way for Mortal Kombat to remain relevant than by having her as a DLC character in MK11?
Up until now, NetherRealm has been firmly in bed with DC Comics in a great symbiotic relationship that has lasted since 2008; one that is no doubt shepherded by the parent company of both properties, Warner Bros. However, as mentioned in a previous entry, Ed Boon asked fans what new series they might like to see, and a Marvel Vs. DC fighting game was the winner by far. That opens the door, even if just a smidge, for something Marvel related moving forward. And what better way to test the waters, than with a guest character?
Captain Marvel is the obvious choice here. Not only is Marvel all-in on turning the B-level comics character into an A+ character for the movies, but her skillset, cultural relevance, and skyrocketing name recognition makes her head-and-shoulders above the likes of Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America. At least for the time being.
Captain Marvel, AKA Carol Danvers, is the closest thing Marvel has to Superman; she can fly, has god-like strength and speed, photon blasting fists, and is pretty darn durable. Not to mention a look that is quickly becoming iconic. All that comes together to make one ass-kicking Avenger that would be a sight to behold in Mortal Kombat 11.
Now, if we could just find that damn pager.
