Mortal Kombat 12: 10 Lost Characters NetherRealm MUST Include

8. Fujin

Like Reiko, Fujin is another character that was introduced in Mortal Kombat 4 and only appeared once more before returning in Mortal Kombat Armageddon. Similar to Raiden, Fujin is the God of Wind and briefly served as the protector of Earthrealm when Raiden was elevated to the status of Elder God. However, when Raiden relinquished his Elder God status, Fujin's time as a playable character was over.

From a gameplay standpoint, Fujin has complete control over the winds similarly to Raiden's control of lightning. From lifting opponents into the air for juggle combos, to using the winds to alter his or his opponents movement, this provides an endless amount of possibility for special moves and the unique gameplay mechanics NetherRealm loves to put into their games.

As for his story, Mortal Kombat 12 could see Fujin appear as a guide to Liu Kang as he takes over the role of protector of Earthrealm. With Raiden now being a mortal man, and given the amount of poor choices that Raiden has made in recent games, it seems like the right time for Fujin to step back into the fray.
