Mortal Kombat 12: 10 Lost Characters NetherRealm MUST Include

9. Reiko

Mortal Kombat mileena
Midway Games

Reiko was introduced to the series in Mortal Kombat 4 and was only playable in two other games, including Mortal Kombat Armageddon. Despite being featured heavily in the Mortal Kombat X comic series, Reiko has been completely left out of the series since its reboot in 2011. From both a story and a gameplay perspective, Reiko is an underutilized character with a ton of untapped potential.

In the Mortal Kombat story, Reiko served as one of Shao Kahn's main generals. This position puts him squarely in the foreground of Shao Kahn's conquest of the realms and has infused Reiko with a passion for brutality and a thirst for power. As Reiko's story went on, he began to desire Shao Kahn's throne and his gameplay in Mortal Kombat Armageddon reflected this.

Since Reiko has only been in a few games, and with how well NetherRealm has been able to infuse the personality of it's characters into their gameplay, Mortal Kombat 12 presents a real opportunity for Reiko to step out of Shao Kahn's shadow and show his true colors as the brutal general of Outworld's army.
