Mortal Kombat 12: 10 Underrated Characters We Want To See

Hotaru is a member of Seido, the Realm of Order which was introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Wherein his counterpart Havik is one who lives for the chaos, Hotaru is a being who seeks to uphold the law at all costs.

With his samurai like armor and the flags on his back, Hotaru aided Shujinko in his quest to find the Kamidogu until the latter broke the law, which resulted in the end of their friendship. Hotaru is also known for killing Li Mei during the Battle of Armageddon.

This character, along with Havik, expanded the world of the series. While the previous realms were established in older games, Deception introduced Orderrealm and Chaosrealm.

With Hotaru, his character exemplified how the citizens of his realm thought, seeking order by any means necessary. This can be seen during his allegiance with Onaga, the game's antagonist, whom he thought was the best being at upholding order in the universe.

While Havik has been a fan favorite and fans have demanded his return, it would make sense for his arch-nemesis to return. Mortal Kombat 12 surely would benefit with the return of Hotaru and Orderealm.
