Takahashi Takeda is the son of Kenshi and the student of series mascot Scorpion. Having been introduced in Mortal Kombat X, he joined Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs and Kung Jin as the new generation of heroes. He also served as a focal character in Mortal Kombat X's comic.

As the legacy of two beloved characters, Takeda has the skill of the Shirai Ryu while inheriting the telepathic ability of his father. He aided the Kombat Kids in stopping Shinnok's second invasion while finding romance with Jacqui.

Despite being a more recent character, Takeda was an instant hit. With his fighting style through barbed whips, Takeda was easy to learn and deadly fast in gameplay. At the same time, he also shared variations of Scorpion's style through his plasma swords. Players could then enjoy this character as he cut through foes with his lightning fast attacks and killer combos.

Sadly, while Cassie and Jacqui returned in Mortal Kombat 11, Takeda did not. Instead, he was only mentioned through dialogue, having been engaged to Jacqui as well as having been sent on a secret mission. With his absence sorely felt in the game, the son of Kenshi and the heir of Scorpion is now ripe for a comeback.
