The first game's Sub Zero ended the tournament fighting alongside the revenant of hated enemy Hanzo Hasashi and the Thunder God Raiden to stem the flow of Shang Tsung's forces and protect Earthrealm. With the realm protected, Scorpion finally killed the man who put his wife and child to death.

Bi Han's brother Kuai Liang entered the tournament in Outworld, seeking to find vengeance against the demonic creature that took his brother from him. And so the tragic cycle of violence continued.

But death would not be the end for Bi-Han. Stripped of everything that made him human by the Netherrealm sorcerer Quan Chi, the very same who had brought turned Hanzo Hasashi into Scorpion, Bi Han was transformed into the very personification of evil, Noob Saibot. First appearing in this role as a secret character in Mortal Kombat II, Saibot is a black-clad ninja who seemingly has powers over darkness, and can even animate his own shadow to fight alongside him.

Sub Zero will be portrayed by Joe Taslin. While Taslin has very few roles to his name so far, he was most recently seen playing Li Yong in Warrior.
