Owner of the most gory, offensively gruesome and downright cringeworthy Fatality this side of Kung Lao's spinning blade decapitation, the remastered version of the character initially conceptualised as something of a joke in MK2 (his name is play on creators Ed Boon and John Tobias) came back with a vengeance, getting MK into the headlines all over again when it was revealed his Fatality literally tore someone in half piece by piece. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrshHtOh62o Thankfully MK's solid fighting engine didn't mean this was the only thing in Saibot's favour, instead thanks to some easy-access teleportaltion moves, a positively gruesome special animation that always forced the opposing player to barf all over their leg and a general look that was just quintessential MK, Saibot quickly became a fan-favourite all over again. Just don't spam his portal-attacks online - it's a surefire way to get you booted in seconds.
