The Raptors are one power forward away from courting a versatile, championship-caliber roster. DeMarre Carroll is a solid defender, but a mediocre shooter. Kenneth Faried is a great rebounder and a terrible shooter, but is $5M cheaper than the small forward. The math is pretty clear here, especially since the team already has two great scorers in the backcourt.

While the pick might hurt in the near future, the Raptors need to win now. And if you want to keep this promising core together, Carroll needs to be moved.
