Many players on this list have earned a 2K stat boost for a variety of reasons over the course of the 2016/17 season. Some have played better under greater responsibility, due to the departure of crucial teammates in their squad. Others have shown their true quality thanks to impressive playoff runs.
Nikola Jokic, on the other hand, cuts a far simpler figure. He's simply upped his rate of play, becoming one of the Nuggets' key players in the process.
The Serbian scored more points, pulled down more rebounds, and dished more assists per game than last year - a year which, incidentally, was good enough to see him voted into the 2016 All-Rookie first team.
Sometimes sophomore years can be a difficult transition from a player's wide-eyed rookie year, but Jokic looks to have gone in entirely the opposite direction. He should certainly see an increase in his 79 2K rating this year.
