Why it makes sense:
The Celtics don't have a natural starting power forward and the game inserts rookie Daniel Theis into the starting line-up, which kind of hurts the team.
Defensively Marcus Morris and Jayson Tatum are liabilities, so is center Al Horford, which makes Noel a nice addition to the line-up and improvement under the basket. Offensively he's not much, but the Celtics have enough talented scorers anyway.
Seth Curry is among them and his three point shot can be deadly. He immediately becomes a vital contributor from the bench, with potential of becoming a starter in the next season or two.
