Now, we're into the real meat and potatoes of this ranking.

The Boston Celtics have previously won seventeen NBA finals. Seventeen. Ranging between 1957 and 2008, the squad's rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers was highlighted throughout, with the two teams having a record twelve games just in the finals alone.

Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Bob Cousy, and Dave Cowens - all of whom have been awarded the Most Valuable Player award while playing for the Celtics - helped the team get to where they currently are. Nowadays, the squad is known for its possession of Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker, with the duo both bringing great success in the direction of the Celtics.

Kemba is one of the newer signings to the Boston Celtics, having only signed in June 2019. In his first year with the team, though, Walker helped the Celtics reach the conference finals of the 2020 playoffs, with the Celtics falling at the final hurdle to eventual runners up in the Miami Heat.

Even with that unfortunate defeat, you simply can't deny that the Celtics are deserving of their position here. Had it not been for that loss to the Heat, then they no doubt would have been even higher than they already are - there's always 2K22.
