Nintendo NX: 7 Reasons Why 2016 Release Is A Bad Idea
3. Too Soon For Third Parties
The make-or-break aspect of the NX is whether Nintendo welcome third parties to the console. Very, very few people in 2016 will part with their cash for a console that can't handle the absolute basics of gaming in the shape of FIFA or Call Of Duty. They're not immensely complex, but they're mainstream, and people won't buy a console that won't support them. If Nintendo are coming up with another innovative, left-field console (they will) then developers will need time to get to grips with the system and create quality software rather than just bang-average games that will ruin the console's credibility as a serious machine.
