Nintendo Switch: 10 Console Features It Desperately Needs

1. Drop The Online Subscription Fee

This seems like a long shot, but getting rid of the incoming charge for online would benefit Nintendo massively.

Of course, why do Nintendo have to get rid of the subscription fee? If Nintendo does it, why shouldn't Microsoft or Sony? The difference between these companies and the subscription fee that they have is that Microsoft and Sony actually give good incentive to paying for their services. Free games that you can keep and exclusive discounts feel like genuinely good payoffs for paying money to play online.

Whilst Nintendo's subscription is a lot cheaper than the other two, it also has little to no content to make up for it. You essentially get to borrow an old NES or SNES game for a month before having it taken off of you. This doesn't justify having to pay for online and for now, Nintendo are really asking a lot to pay anything for their specific offerings.

Because this fee hasn't yet been introduced, Nintendo really do have the chance to scrap the idea altogether and continue with their free online service. It really set them apart from the competition previously, and could be one of their greatest strengths in the coming years.
