Overwatch 2: 10 Big Reveals From Blizzcon 2019
3. Hero Levelling, Ability Customisation, And Items
Have you ever wanted to see Mei throw a Torbjorn turret? No? Well, it's happening, regardless, with new item inventories and ability customisation included in Overwatch 2's PVEs.
Abilities for multiple heroes were presented through the demo gameplay on the Blizzcon floor, with multiple streamers who played the PVEs able to show their viewers such abilities ahead of any other such press releases. Well-known Overwatch Youtuber, ohnickel, laid out every new ability that was revealed during Blizzcon, from Tracer's chain reaction bomb to Torbjorn's "My Babies" ability where he throws down multiple mini turrets, in a recent video.
More information about items were also presented in another video, with items apparently colour coded by rarity, with green for common, purple for epic, and gold for legendary.
Though a lot of Overwatch 2 has the same kind of gameplay from the main game, the addition of these items and the option to change out abilities for different missions makes it so that it's exciting to play many times over, with the promise of multiple story modes in the future sweetening the deal.
