Overwatch Tips: 6 Dos & Don'ts for Doomfist

Overwatch's most experimental character can also be one of the most effective.

Overwatch's newest hero looks like he's just stepped out of a Street Fighter game. Doomfist, the man with the giant gauntlet, has melee-heavy abilities including a Ryu-style uppercut, and is promising to ground and pound the current roster into a fine paste. Though he's completely different from the rest of the crew, he somehow fits right in and is fun as hell to play.

Akande Ogundimu became Doomfist after killing his teacher and taking a powerful golden gauntlet for his own. He was set on leading the criminal Talon organisation to world domination before an Overwatch team put him behind bars. Now he's broken out of a maximum-security prison and reclaimed his gauntlet, Blizzard is unleashing him as the 25th hero in their team shooter.

Doomfist is an offence hero, using his hulking fist to leap into the enemy ranks and deliver carnage. While he isn't yet available for everyone, PC players on the public test server are getting an early taste of Doomfist and some smart strategies are already emerging.

Learning them quickly will help you annoy the other team and rack up the kills.
