Overwatch Tips: 6 Dos & Don'ts for Doomfist

6. Do: Combo Your Attacks

Doomfist has three key abilities: Rocket Punch, where he dashes forward fist-first, ideally knocking an enemy into a wall; Seismic Slam, where he leaps forward and strikes the ground, pulling opposing heroes towards him; and Rising Uppercut, which knocks an unfortunate recipient into the air for more abuse.

So, drop into the middle of a fight, hit hard, and hit often.

Not only are these attacks powerful as all get out, chaining them together quickly increases his shield and keeps him alive longer.

He has 250 health, which is not much better than other offence heroes. When you land his abilities, though, it increases a temporary shield, which can give him an extra 150 hit points - that's tank-like resilience.

Just make sure you don't exhaust your abilities too quickly, leaving you without a quick escape when you need it.

Born and bred in that Scottish city Alan Partridge drove to in his bare feet, Kris is now based in the French bit of Canada, where he speaks a wee bit of the local lingo. He likes fancy food and cheap eats, seeing new places (onscreen or IRL), and enduring the misfortunes of Dundee United. Kris writes about the pictures on big and small screens; new-fangled gizmos and bits of circuitry; sweaty, half-naked people throwing each other around; and them computer games that apparently rot your brain. He also watches TV and movies for money. Ask him how that works sometime.
