5. Ridge Racer

The Ridge Racer games have been a staple of the PlayStation since its inception; the PS1's original Ridge Racer was one of the very first titles I owned for the platform, and the series has enjoyed an enduring and prosperous legacy since. Though their wide console release Unbounded was a success last year (in spite of the inane title), Namco have a lot to make up to players after their PSVita title, Ridge Racer Vita, was a colossal flop, being widely panned by the gaming press for its lack of tracks and vehicles. If they are to restore their stock with the gaming world, a next-generation Ridge Racer game just might be the ticket they need. Namco will surely have learned a lesson from their cynical foray on the Vita, such that we could probably expect a widely-overcompensating PS4 title, which would be chock full of tracks and cars you'll never play, but also have stunning graphics that show off just what sort of vehicular carnage the PS4 is capable of.
