Pokémon GO: 10 Missing Gameplay Features We Want To See

Trading and battles, trading and battles. Trading.and.BATTLES.

Pokémon GO is already the most popular and most downloaded app in both the Android App Store and iTunes - there are more people catching Pokémon than using Twitter at time of writing, and that's really something special.

However, its raging popularity is in spite of numerous server shutdowns, glitches, bugs and crashes amongst its players. The official Pokemon GO Twitter has already recognized some of these issues, and promises that they are working long and hard to have everything resolved in time.

Aside from fixing glitches and working on stopping cheaters, can we expect Pokemon GO to just have updates like normal apps?

Or should we be expecting completely new versions to come out in a manner similar to the video games?

In any case, whether the app updates or new versions come out later, what do we hope to see in the world of Pokemon GO?

10. Pokémon Trading

I have two Bulbasaurs. You have two Squirtles. I want a Squirtle. You want a Bulbasaur. Why not trade duplicates so we could each get a Pokemon we wanted? It was hinted at in the first original trailer, so what gives?

Trading of Pokémon was the crux of the card game (hence them called trading cards), and was a key component of the video game series, too. It would only make sense that this would be a key component of Pokemon GO.

Then, when the first version of the game was released, many were disappointed to find they could not trade Pokemon with their friends whatsoever. You can "trade" Pokémon to Professor Willow for candy (a type of in-game currency used for evolving Pokemon), but you cannot swap Pokémon directly with other players.

Considering it was already shown in the original trailer, Pokemon trading is sure to be a feature added soon enough. We'll just have to sit with out extra Bulbasaurs and wait until then.
