Pokemon - There's An App For That!
Nintendo’s superstar franchise of a generation is finally joining the App race with its announcement of a Pokemon title for the Apple and Android phones.
Nintendos superstar franchise of a generation is finally joining the App race with its announcement of a Pokemon title for the Apple and Android phones. The app in question is sadly not going to follow in the footsteps of other franchises, such as Final Fantasy, and sell an app-ified version of a previous game. This means that you will not be able to relive the past greats of the Blue and Red era of Pokemon on your iPhone or Android equivalent. So if not an actual Pokemon game then what? The Pokemon Company have reported that Pokemon Le Tap is apparently going to be a music / rhythm game that allows players to play along with songs from the animated television show. So with the announcement of a Pokemon app, which will be arriving in Japan shortly, does this mean that we may actually see a full Pokemon game on our App playing devices in the next few years? Is this Nintendos next big move between the release of the 3DS and the release of the WiiU? The short answer is No. Instead of moving to this new market Nintendo are staying faithful and any full Pokemon games will still be released exclusively on its portable devices. So if you enjoyed the extra franchise games such as Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Pinball then this is something to add to your calendar, if not then it might not be up your tall grass lined street.
