Pokémon Let’s Go! Switch: 10 Features Fans Demand

8. Revolutionise The Online And Local Play

Pokémon has the potential to be one of the must-play online gaming experiences. Leagues, tournaments, rankings, it should be as big as FIFA and COD in my opinion, but it’s been hamstrung recently by being on a handheld (the 3DS) that not a lot of people own.

The Switch isn't exactly dominating on the level of the PS4, but it is still one of the major home consoles on the market, so if they’re ever going to do it, it’s with this. Imagine Pokémon Stadium, but you’re taking on players from the other side of the world.

The same goes for local play as well, as the Switch is designed to be played in groups with your friends. Retaining the multiplayer setup from the DS is obvious, but there is surely potential to introduce something quite special.
