PS2 Mini: 20 Games It MUST Include
12. Jak And Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Naughty Dog are primarily known for the Uncharted Series on the PS3 and PS4, as well as their emotionally gripping title The last of Us which is due for a sequel sometime in 2019. During the original PlayStation days, they were famous for their high-octane, cartoonish Crash Bandicoot series. Yet, their Jak and Daxter series on the PlayStation 2 feels somewhat overlooked by comparison.
An epic platformer in an era when gamers seemed to have epic platformers coming out of their ears, Naughty Dog’s Jak and Daxter trilogy proved that the studio was more than capable of moving on from their beloved bandicoot mascot.
Though the first game’s main gimmick of collecting power cells to progress through the story may have worn thin for some, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy was remarkably varied and made a valiant effort to cater to players of vastly differing interests and attention spans. While it may not be the most beloved game of the trilogy, it has definitely earned a spot on the PlayStation 2 Classic’s roster.
Uprendered 1080p versions may be available on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, but it would nonetheless be a great inclusion here as well.
