PS5: 10 Early PlayStation Games That Need Remakes
3. Devil May Cry
2001's paranormal slasher-shooter Devil May Cry already got a reboot. Sort of. In 2013, the game was re-imagined by British Developer Ninja Series, cast in an alternate universe and featuring heavy changes to both visuals and gameplay. The reboot was poorly-received by fans and it's about time the original Devil May Cry game got the proper remake it deserves.
DMC' gun/sword/demon power combat system would blend seamlessly into modern gameplay with a well-worked update and the creepy visuals are prime territory for the PS5's graphics engine. Animated puppets, aquatic monsters and portrait demons were all terrifying enough in the original game. With a graphical update, they'd be enough to give most gamers nightmares.
There's the will from fans and developers to see this happen. Creator Hideki Kamiya stated his desire to remake the game with modern tech and there'd likely be a huge market for such a game, from loyal fans of the series to newcomers who just want to slice a giant spider in half with a giant sword.
