PS5: 10 Early PlayStation Games That Need Remakes

Ape Escape is sorely missed. The gadget-laden, ape catching adventure series was one of the funnest titles on the PS1 and enjoyed strong sales and critical acclaim. But despite guest appearances in games from Ratchet and Clank to Metal Gear Solid, there hasn't been an addition to the core series since 2005. Despite the long spell of inactivity, fans have kept the faith, their hopes raised and crushed time and again through rumours, fake leaks and even the occasional tease from Sony Japan.

Still, a return for the beloved series has never been officially ruled out and the PS5 could provide fertile ground for a comeback. VR components and new gameplay features would be great, but developers should be careful with the graphics. Ape Escape wouldn't be the same without its cute style and being forced to ruthlessly hunt down uncanny valley apes would ruin the whole vibe.
