PS5: 10 Early PlayStation Games That Need Remakes
1. Okami
IGN's 2006 game of the year received a high-definition port in 2012. But it wasn't Okami's visuals that needed an update, since the watercolour-inspired graphics were a big part of the original release's charm. Not to say the gameplay was bad either, but this is where a remake could really thrive.
This is another title where virtual reality could really make the difference. The Celestial Brush, a key element of the game allowing players to interact with the world through painting various symbols onto a canvas, was manipulated by using an analogue stick in the original game, but saw use through the Wii remote, touchscreen and other devices in remakes. Using VR would take this feature to the next level, allowing players greater control over brush strokes while providing a greater range of possible strokes.
Modernised gameplay, a limited graphical update and a range of cool new features could give the series new life and pave the way for sequels. But any remake shouldn't lose sight of what made the original game so great.
