PS5: 10 Games That Show What It Can Do
1. Demon’s Souls
The fact that a remake of a 2009 game from the PlayStation 3 era is the best looking and best performing launch game for the PS5 is a testament to the incredible job Bluepoint Games and Japan Studio have done with this beloved classic.
Everything a fan of the original could ever hope for is present in this remake. The lighting is stunning, the detail in the textures and landscape is gorgeous and the atmosphere perfectly encapsulates the feeling of dread you have every time you enter a new area. And of course, all the bosses have been remastered to make them look as good as they are deadly.
But it is not just the graphics and atmosphere that are improved by the PS5, but also the combat. Thanks to the DualSense controller, one shooting an enemy from behind has never felt so satisfying. The adaptive triggers make every attack feel meaty and powerful, while the haptic feedback makes every perfectly timed parry super satisfying.
Of course you will have to be prepared to die over and over again, but if you can persevere, you will be rewarded with one of the best performing games on the PS5 so far.
