PS5: 10 Iconic PlayStation Franchises Sony Needs To Revive

2. Bloodborne

Bloodborne Weapons
FromSoftware

Ah, we've reached the other recent title on this list. Yet the point still stands: what kind of injustice is there in the world if Dark Souls can have two sequels and heaps of DLC, yet Bloodborne doesn't get a similar treatment?!

Exaggeration aside, a new Bloodborne would go down an absolute treat on a new console. Considering how staggeringly beautiful (for a creepy, dark and gothic game) the first one was, a sequel would undoubtedly do numbers as another exclusive for Sony. Yes, I know the first is getting a PC port, but that initial exclusivity paid off for Sony.

The outcry for a sequel has always been there, with FromSoftware never explicitly stating it was a "one and done" franchise. However, they've never said it would get a sequel either.

Yet just imagine how well a reveal for a new game on a new console would go down right about now. They've explored Eastern themes with Sekiro, how about returning to the gross, Lovecraftian goodness that we all loved with Bloodborne?

Perhaps a story chronicling the descent of Yharnam, preceding the first game? Or the aftermath of the last Hunter disrupting the Old Gods?
