PS5: 10 Ways It Will Change Gaming Forever

1. A Sony That Can Lead With Exclusives

The most alluring part of any new console is, of course, the game selection, and if Sony has proved anything over the past few decades, it’s that they sure do know their games.

With such huge franchises as God of War, The Last of Us, Uncharted, and of course, Gitaroo Man, Sony really don’t pull any punches when it comes to cracking out gorgeous-looking system-sellers, and it’s undeniable that they’ll bring the goods with this coming generation, too.

Whilst Nintendo and Microsoft look to family-friendly fun and multiplayer experiences, respectively, Sony’s strong suit lies with the story-based narrative experience, and given the considerable tech bump, we can only imagine how much more emotionally-driven and engaging their next set of titles will be.

With the lightning-fast loading of the PS5’s SSD, the immersive 3D audio, dazzling raytracing, silky-smooth frame-rate, ultra-sharp visuals and a controller that responds with intuitive haptic feedback, no doubt that inevitable next-gen Gran Turismo will blow our socks off.

We just have to wait (impatiently) for the coming months to roll around to see what we’ll be sinking our teeth into at launch. And I, for one, will be awaiting the PS5 version of Mr Moskeeto with bated breath.
