PS5: 5 Must-Buy Launch Games (And 5 That Will Suck)

5. Will Suck: Godfall

Spider-Man Miles Morales
Gearbox Software

This may be a controversial one, especially as Godfall is one of the flagship titles coming to the PS5 later this month. Developed by new studio Counterplay Games, it's definitely going to go one way or the other, and based on what's been revealed so far, it's not looking promising.

Described as a "looter-slasher melee-action RPG," there's been a lot of backlash over the fact players must have an internet connection to play, while the concept of completing missions and gaining better loot for further quests is one that doesn't really appeal to a lot of people, and could go some way in limiting the accessibility of Godfall.

From a visual standpoint, it's beautiful, but almost to the point of being sterile. Everything looks a bit too shiny and smooth, and while this game may be an effective enough way of showcasing what the PS5 can do, there are definitely better visuals than this available on day one.

Ultimately, lovers of loot drops will be covered, but everyone else should probably give this a miss.
