PS5, Xbox Scarlett & Nintendo Switch: 9 Things We Need To See
8. PlayStation - Keeping Up The Momentum
It goes without saying that PlayStation has dominated the console race this generation. Selling over 80 million units, Sony has released numerous critically acclaimed exclusives, acquired the only VR support currently on a console and announced some of the biggest fan-demanded titles of the decade.
They've consistently towered over both Microsoft and Nintendo in terms of sales and output, however, at Sony's E3 conference the company had little to show besides its next four big titles.
Whilst this didn't matter all too much as their current line-up is a strong one, it did begin to show a few cracks in PlayStation's electric momentum. The company often always has something else up their sleeve, yet this was the first E3 that they didn't really stir up some big talking point that dominated the show.
If Sony wants to launch out the gates of next-generation in a similar fashion to how they did with the PS4, they need to have a solid line-up in place to keep fans invested in the future of the company.
Death Stranding, Spiderman, Ghost Of Tsushima and The Last Of Us can only keep them going so far, so a varied roster of ambitious new and returning games should be the priority for PlayStation as it looks to move forward.
