PS5, Xbox Scarlett & Nintendo Switch: 9 Things We Need To See

7. Xbox - Building The Game Pass

Of all the features Xbox has introduced over the last few years, none have struck gold quite as effectively as Game Pass. Offering Xbox One owners a suite of brilliant games for a small monthly fee, the service is well on its way to becoming one of the defining pillars of Microsoft's future.

Not only does this incredible concept begin to give Xbox the accessibility and marketing genius of services like Netflix, but it also displays the fact that Microsoft cares more about distributing games in a gamer-friendly manner than what profits them most commercially.

This may seem unimportant on paper, but having a console that saves the player's cash and delivers a technologically progressive service at the same time could be Microsoft's big seller going forward into the future.

Having all its big releases available via monthly subscription also means that its games will have wider attention than they may be getting now, fans being more likely to pay a monthly fee to try out online experiences like Sea Of Thieves and State Of Decay 2 than they would be to fully invest without prior play.

If Xbox wants to get on the side of the gamer in the next generation, Game Pass's endless positives are the surefire way to do it.
