Metacritic Score: 81-83 The Verdict: In a time where so many video game sequels are having features removed, portioned off and sold as DLC later down the line, it's extraordinarily refreshing to see one that actually delivers a bigger, better follow-up. Far more intricate and detailed then the original Garden Warfare, this sequel has a Backyard Battleground hub which makes the experience feel a lot more cohesive, allowing players to tackle missions and experiment with which characters work best for them. As for the online multiplayer, it's even more absurdly addictive than last time, switching out basic things like balanced gameplay for relentless insanity. As such it may turn off the more "hardcore" crowd, but for those who want something a little more ridiculous and harmless, it's the perfect tonic to all those self-serious shooters.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
