Ranking 2018's Biggest Remaining Video Games By Anticipation
12. Darksiders III
Following one title that essentially borrowed a ton of structural elements from your average Zelda, and another that went in a more loot-grindy, stat-heavy direction, the meat of Darksiders III is mostly still up in the air.
We do know we're playing as Fury, a gender-flipped member of the Four Horsemen as she tracks down an evil being, the plot happening alongside with the events of Darksiders 2.
Whilst these games have had expert voice acting and an almost Legacy of Kain-esque regality to their demonic interactions, the really engaging thing about the series is the art direction. Huge, chunky armour sets clash with oversized weapons; worlds made of green fire and jagged ice frame responsive and snappy combat - all with the feeling that a wider world of powerful forces is dictating everything behind the scenes.
Darksiders 1 & 2 are firmly in the "underrated gem" category, but the series has its diehard fans, and they cannot wait to dive into another instalment.
