While the original trilogy reigns supreme, it only seems right to have at least one Andromedan in the top ten, though Peebee has to settle for tenth. Asaris played a huge role in the first three games, but with Peebee they still managed to try something new.

The problem is they weren’t quite sure what that something new was. While we meet Liara as a young girl, she’s naive and shy, nothing like the impish, impulsive nature Peebee has. But they rattle through Peebee’s development too quickly; the reasons for her staying on the Tempest are there, but the game doesn’t work hard enough to bring them out.

She wants to belong to something bigger than herself, and wants to learn more about the Remnant. But any emotional moments from breaking down her walls feels unearned. It’s been said a lot of the Andromeda cast were being set up for more development in sequels, and in some ways Peebee gets the best and the worst of that.

She’s likeable enough to exist on her own, and doesn’t have too much plot squeezed in like Vetra does, but Peebee leaves you feeling she has much more to give.
