Ranking Every Naughty Dog Game From Worst To Best
13. Jak X: Combat Racing
The sequel nobody wanted (but we all saw coming), Combat Racing is very much to Jak & Daxter what CTR was to Crash Bandicoot - a fun, "Sure, why not?" racing spin-off that, in Jak X's case, didn't have a kart racing pull to trade off.
Ultimately this proved to be its undoing, selling but a third of what Jak III had raked in but a year earlier. However, mechanically this was supremely solid - a more Burnout-style racer that mixed power-ups with the weighty side-swipes and takedowns of EA's cerebral speeder.
Arena battles, tunnel vision-inducing home straights and a nicely paced story that tipped more than a few nods to the trilogy we all loved so much, Jak might not have ended in style if you ask the wider world, but those who picked up Jak X: Combat Racing still got a fantastic game.
