Ranking EVERY PS5 Launch Game From Worst To Best

1. Demon's Souls

The piece de la resistance and one of the only all-out PS5 platform exclusives, Bluepoint's remaking of Demon's Souls has been built from the ground up for PlayStation 5.

That means no loading whatsoever, as the game takes full advantage of the SSD. We even saw a character warp from one location to the next in an instant, as the PS5 can access all of a game's data simultaneously, keeping the action flowing and removing any pauses in between.

In terms of visuals this is a real showstopper. Bluepoint's work with the Shadow of the Colossus remake was bar-setting in itself, and from weapon and environment detail to lighting and particle effects, Demon's Souls is THE game to show off your new hardware.

The only question is: Will this game be as hard as its 2009 original?

There's a reason the Souls series didn't take off until Dark Souls, and that largely comes down to the cumbersome nature of this first instalment.

With another developer at the helm and a new generation of technology powering every sword swing, could we get one of the best action RPGs of the next generation on day one?

Quite possibly.
