Red Dead Online: 10 Tips & Tricks To Ensure Victory Every Time

5. Be Patient

This advice goes more for the throwing-knives and bow-and-arrow only modes, where death is permanent and you only get one shot to make your mark, but there's a lot to be said about biding your time in Red Dead Online, and making sure you don't rush into situations.

Play your cards right in Red Dead's free-for-all playlists, and you're likely to come across players slugging it out with each other. If you're sneaky enough, it'll allow you to get the drop on both and in doing so pick up two easy kills. The same principle applies to the game's domination-style game-modes, which rewards teamwork and the ability of a player to read a game as it progresses. Remember, opponents can't sit on the same objective the entire match, and knowing when to hold a position and when to push on is a great skill to learn.

Being patient may not be entirely conducive to Most Wanted, where players are rewarded for the amount of kills they manage to accrue, but if you find yourself struggling to climb up the table, really make an effort to go after those in the lobby with a hire bounty. It'll mean you leapfrog less adventurous opponents, and with the skills you've developed from before, it'll hopefully mean that you'll be able to deal with the tide of players coming to claim your own bounty.
