Red Dead Online DLC - 9 Things Undead Nightmare Must Include
1. Horde PvP
Red Dead Online has a great assortment of PvP game modes that cowboys and cowgirls can take part in, and like its sister series GTA, often introduces timed or unique modes like the Fear of the Dark mode. It would be awesome if an Undead Nightmare expansion introduced something akin to Left 4 Dead, or something along the lines of a Gears of War inspired Beast Mode.
RDR already has its own form of PvE horde with Undead Overrun, but it could take it a step further by pitting Players against each other and allowing you full control of the zombies themselves.
As mentioned previously, having more enemy variety would expand the enjoyment and broaden the approach Players could have to the game. RD Online could adopt many of the tropes from the aforementioned games. You could have four cowpokes protecting a farmhouse from a bloodthirsty horde, or like L4D2’s Scavenge mode, have gunslingers running around trying to gather supplies to escape.
Allowing Players to insert themselves as the negating force against a collective of Players pushing towards a goal, it creates a whole different form of PvP missing from Red Dead.
