3. An Entire Posse Of Protagonists Might Be Too Much

Pre-release worries that GTA 5 would become too busy due to multiple protagonists were eased when people sat down to play the game. Switching between Franklin, Michael and Trevor was simple, prolonged play sessions ('let's see what Trev is up to before bed') and just plain worked.

It looks like RDR2 will try to more than double this idea by allowing gamers to play as all 7 of the Van der Linde gang. This is interesting considering only 6 members, Dutch, John and Abigail Marston, Arthur Morgan, Bill Williamson and Javier Escuella are known. That means someone else is joining the party.

Jesus, Rockstar, do you think that's enough?

Squads have been used in other open-ended games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age before, but Rockstar have never handled so many moving parts at the one time. Unless AI is watertight, this could be a disaster and frustrate more than amaze.
