Red Dead Redemption 3: 10 Predictions For The Story
1. Colm O'Driscoll's Brother
Speaking of Annabelle... How did she die?
Her life was claimed by Colm O'Driscoll, the man Dutch hated more than anyone in the world. But why did Colm kill Annabelle?
Because - according to Arthur - Dutch killed Colm's brother sometime before, back when the two gangs had a mutual peace. It's never revealed why Dutch killed Colm's brother. Maybe we could find out in RDR3.
Colm mentioned that he never really liked his brother. While that might be nothing but bluster, what if it's true? What if Colm's brother was the one who struck the peace deal between the gangs? What if Colm never wanted peace, and his brother's death kicked off a war that he and Dutch had been just one or two nudges away from engaging in?
Dutch's single-minded vendetta against Colm drove him to pursue Leviticus Cornwall to his ultimate detriment, just as Colm's single-minded vendetta against Dutch led him to kill Annabelle. The two mirror each other, in a way.
Here's the thing: Colm, Dutch, Annabelle, Cornwall... the brother's death was the catalyst for all of it. This seems like too significant of a story for Rockstar to tease and never follow up on.
Hopefully we'll get some answers.
