Resident Evil 6: 10 Reasons We Should Give Chris a Chance

8. Brand Recognition

Resident Evil has always been cause for fervent discussion and these days it€™s largely a known quantity. But we€™ve all got our favourite €˜time€™ in the franchise. Some of us preferred it back in the day, when it was still hashing out the survival horror genre as it went. Some prefer it now, when its emphasis lies more on action than strictly survival. I myself am a fence-sitter here; I loved it then, and hell, I still like it now. Suffice to say, you know what you€™re getting when you sit down with a Resident Evil game, and any persuasive argument on either end of the spectrum isn€™t going to change your feeling on the matter. In other words, Resident Evil is a time-tested brand, and if you€™ve been a fan of the previous handful of games (from 4 onwards) it€™s very likely you€™ll be a fan of this new title. That€™s reason enough alone to buy it; hell, you can always trade it in after you€™re done, am I right?
