Resident Evil 8: Every Plot Detail You Need To Know

Even if you haven’t seen anything about Resident Evil 8, there’s still the likely chance you hae seen images of a very tall vampire lady doing the rounds on the internet. Making a brief appearance in the first trailer, we’ve since learned more about this striking character. Notably, we now know her name: Alcina Dimitrescu.

Described on the game’s official website as “The mistress of the castle that overlooks the village”, not much has been officially confirmed about her. However, from other snippets of information gleamed from trailers alongside the Maiden demo, we have a rough idea of what role she’ll be playing in the game.

Much RE7’s Baker family, Dimitrescu and her vampiric daughters will be some of the game’s main antagonists who'll likely pursue us through the castle they call their home. Moreover, it’s suggested that we’ll be meeting more of her family in the game, too.

In the trailers, we hear Dimitrescu mention that Ethan escaping from her “little brother” as well as talking on the phone to a character named Mother Miranda. Whether they are her literal family remains unclear, but it is certain that some kind of familial bond binds these characters together.
