Resident Evil 8 Village: 10 CONFIRMED Details You Need To Know
6. There Will Be More Action With The Horror
A point the developers wished to emphasize in their video discussion is that the new Resident Evil game will of course still have the heart-pounding horror of its predecessor but it will also focus more on the action to try and change things up from how Resident Evil 7 played.
This probably won't make the players or Ethan any less terrified by the horrors they will encounter inside the village, but it will keep in line with the action-oriented Resident Evil remakes of 2 and 3 which have done a good job of mixing the two genres perfectly together.
The trailer showed off this change from full-on horror to action horror by indicating a part where Ethan and an old man are trapped in a rickety old house that is suddenly attacked by a new enemy to the franchise and Ethan already has a gun at the ready. It is unclear how much more different the combat will be when compared to Resident Evil 7 though hopefully, it will be faster-paced than the usual slow-walking through dark hallways avoiding jumpscares.
