Resident Evil 8 Village: Story & Ending Explained

Mother Miranda’s Objective

Resident Evil 7 Eveline
Capcom

Though unlike most villains within the Resident Evil franchise, Mother Miranda doesn't claim to want to take over the world (not so blatantly anyway), but instead, she wants to bring her daughter Eva back from the dead. A daughter that she lost 100 years before the events of the Village incident and the Baker Family Tragedy.

100 years is an incredibly long time and she doesn't seem to have aged a day. And throughout all of that time, Miranda has been experimenting on Villagers and anyone else unlucky enough to get within distance, trying endlessly to find the perfect vessel to bring her Eva back once more.

This all being made possible after she created the Cadou Parasite.

All this testing resulted mostly with Lycans, which now swarm the surrounding area, but there were some standouts that almost became a suitable vessel for Eva. Those being the Four Lords of the region.

Mother Miranda gets ever so close to completing her 100-year struggle, but in the end a father's love prevails.
