Resident Evil: Ranking Every Boss From Worst To Best

6. William Birkin

Resident Evil Bosses
Capcom

Appears In: Resident Evil 2

William Birkin is a recurring boss done right. Not only does each encounter with him show off the hideous transformations that he's going through, but that means each fight will have a different spin on it.

Birkin's tenure at Umbrella was never as simple as it should’ve been, and before things fully came to a head that resulted in the Raccoon City Incident, the employment of Alexia Ashford seriously hurt his ego as he was no longer the child prodigy.

From here he would move to the NEST located directly under Raccoon City to become chief researcher over the Goliath Virus.

This eventually led to the Umbrella higher ups sending in HUNK and his team to reclaim a sample of the T and G Virus from the NEST, his mutation into G and the destruction of Raccoon City.

How To Beat:

Now focusing exclusively on the Resident Evil 2 Remake of Birkin in G form, the rule of thumb here is to go for the big giant eye on his right shoulder - that also doubles up as a damage indicator. When it is red, he’s almost dead.

Acid rounds are also the way to go with Birkin, as they’ll deal high amounts of damage to him over an extended period of time, unlike the flame grenades.

Oh, and during the second encounter when he is smashing through the ceiling with his large arm, there happens to be a spot by the shutters Birkin can’t reach. So wait there.
