Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - Every Ending Explained (And How To Get Them)
8. Shura - How To Get It
The Shura ending is technically the bad way to finish Sekrio. Not only is the resolution to the story lacking, but a good chunk of the game will be locked off to you if you go down this route. About 10 hours (if you do everything) will vanish in smoke, alongside the Divine Realm and pretty much all of the proper final bosses.
Fortunately, avoiding the ending is pretty easy. After finding all of the ingredients you need to present to Kuro and fighting your way back up to the tower where you first battled Genichiro, you'll find your father, The Great Owl, waiting for you. Interact with the character and he'll give you the option to either Obey the Iron Code, Forsake Kuro and do the duty he assigned you, or Break the Iron Code, and stay loyal to Kuro.
It's actually a little cheeky though, as you're actually given the option to Break or Obey the Iron Code earlier in the game when Kuro asks you to help him sever his immortality. There, if you chose to break it, Sekiro will say how he can't, but when it pops up again you need to break it, or otherwise fight Emma, Isshin, and face the bad ending.
