5. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
This engaging experience for the Nintendo Wii is another stark departure from series roots. For starters, it contains almost no physical combat, forcing you to escape-artist past danger. The unorthodox gameplay received major flak but I found the game exhilarating. Its puzzles were admittedly really stupid though and nothing more than making dumb motion gestures. Shattered Memories is most known for its story a drastic reimagining of the original game which takes all of the familiar characters and molds them into something else entirely. Harry is still looking for his daughter, but the twist will shatter your mind. The credits also roll yet another brilliant song from the duo of Akira Yamoaka and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
