6 Sucky Truths About Working On Gamesmaster And Games World

4. Internal Politics And Egos Were Everywhere

Channel 4Channel 4Granted not everyone gets along in an office environment all the time. You're bound to have some bickering, and the more stressful the job the more folks will knock heads, but ultimately we are a team and we need to get the job done. Wrong. People in television are bloody awful. Give them a smidgen of power or splinter of fame and they turn into turds. I witnessed lovely, gentle folk warp at light speed into video nasties the moment they did a small cameo on air. Researchers with great personalities suddenly became such terrible people when promoted that if they were to step into dog mess, it would wipe them off on the curb. Insecurities were commonplace and some people would genuinely attempt to sabotage the show if it meant someone they didn't like or were threatened by would get the axe. I hated some of the folks and their dodgy behaviour, and that hatred I still carry to this day in a bag labelled "B******s I hated working with".

A Welsh semi-retired television producer and actor known for low end work that astonishingly people actually watched and even garnered some awards. Originally residing in the electrically-challenged Amish areas of Pennsylvania he has written a few books (Hollywood Pants and Hollywood Horrible Hints and Terribly Fake Tips vols 1 & 2) which you can buy on amazon and all great book stores. After a brief stint in Australia he now finds himself back in the Welsh valleys of his home country noting that it hasn't changed a bit!
